The
beautiful Niangua River is fed by the spring in Bennett
Spring State Park, at approx. 100,000,000 gallons of water
a day. The cold, clear spring water offers excellent fishing
for rainbow and trophy brown trout, goggle eye and small
mouth bass.
The portion of river above the flow of the spring is warmer
water and is floatable in the spring in good rain years.
There are abundant small mouth bass and a variety of other
species for fishing.
Weekday floats and camping allows you opportunity
to enjoy excellent fishing and scenery on a less crowded
river. Short 3 1/2 - 4 mile floats give flexibility in float
times and plenty of time to fish and play.
Reservations
and Deposits are required for weekend Floats. However,
if wanting to avoid crowds, consider a float through the
week.
